Uniform Patrol
BHPD’s Uniform Patrol Unit is oriented towards crime prevention and increased awareness of traffic and pedestrian safety through positive public interaction and visibility.
The Patrol Unit consists of 17 uniformed patrol officers, which includes bike, ATV, marine and beach patrols, and two (2) K-9 handlers. These officers proactively provide professional police services to detect, prevent, and deter criminal activities through strategic and directed patrol.
You can easily identify BHPD patrol officers by their uniforms:
Navy blue shirt/Navy blue pants: Patrol Officer
Navy blue shirt/Navy blue pants: Marine Patrol
Blue shirt/Blue shorts: Beach/ATV/Bike Patrol
Black or navy blue shirt/Black or navy blue pants andK-9: K-9 Patrol
